Vision e Transparency

The projects PRE-RIGHTS and JP-COOPS  are built on a strong and joint commitment to justice, respect of human rights and security. Since this commitment is both institutional and personal, the partners that designed and are currently managing these projects share a common vision on the necessity to tackle these issues and reinforce these objectives , with the final goal to ensure sustainability of the actions implemented so far.

In line with this vision, thanks to the SuperToolkit, individuals and institutions will have the opportunity to consolidate their collaborations within a dynamic environment where each step builds upon the achievements of the previous one, beyond project duration.

This vision is also inclusive, as far as it welcomes interested stakeholders and institutions not participating in the above-mentioned projects to access their contents, and to contribute time, material and ideas to the research, teaching and training materials developed in the context of PRE-RIGHTS and JP-COOPS.

Content and transparency

Based on this shared vision, PRE-RIGHTS and JP-COOPS jointly designed the SuperToolkit provided through this website.

This work was performed with the aim to maximise the available resources and to avoid duplications and overlaps, bearing in mind that the creation, development and delivery of training materials – whether these are factsheets, case studies or fully-fledged pre-recorded lectures and seminars – required time, effort and project resources.

Moreover, one should also consider that training materials are and could be provided by several projects (past, present and future), with individuals and institutions continuing to contribute to, and collaborate on, their updates. Thus, for example, the SuperToolkit makes accessible to users from all around Europe materials developed since 2016 within the PRE-RIGHTS, SAT-LAW, JP-COOPS, J-SAFE, FAIRNESS.

For the sake of transparency, the source of the materials and their author(s), as well as the project name and logo, funding agency (where applicable) are usually credited/indicated on the respective web page and materials. Sometimes, however, the material is produced automatically by the digital platform itself (see below).

Technical Solutions

The digital platforms that make all of the above possible, like the contents, continue to evolve.

The SuperToolkit was designed in its functionality thanks to a contract funded by the PRE-RIGHTS project  (the website front-end, the back-end database, the scraping tool and other backbone sections), but with APIs and significative other technical features partially funded by the JP-COOPS project.

Amongst other things, this SuperToolkit enables access to the HERMES platform, jointly developed by the DERAD and TRAINING AID consortia between 2015 and 2017 and funded by DG Justice and the DG Home Affairs of the European Commissione.

Both PRE-RIGHTS (GA 831616) and JP-COOPS  (GA 807032) are co-financed by the European Commission through the JUSTICE Programme . Other technical add-ons are expected as and when possible, depending also on the availability of additional funding.
